Finals week is almost over. :/

So, I really am going to miss the people here at HC. Like I would start truly ticking and clicking with people finals week. And even meeting a really awesome person the week before finals. Man, life can work in mysterious ways. Well, when I sit back and think about it, I remember that God works in strange and mysterious ways.

My move out is definitely going to be an emotional one. Like i am not looking forward to it. I might now miss the institution, but I am going to miss the people, the atmosphere, and the experiences.

On a lighter note, I wrote the only senior letter I am probably going to write this year today. Yeah, I know it was late, but it's all good. And I will admit that it drew a tear from me. It's for the big D Hays. My amazing Brother Dustin Hays.

Well, off to bed. tomorrow will be my last day at HC.

Good Night

Its Wednesday, Wednesday, Gotta Get Down on Wednesday :)

So as I wind down on my Wednesday, I am sending up an extra prayer for those who have lost family members and are effected by the tragic storms of the past couple of days.

On a lighter note, I feel like I did pretty good on my finals. Finals week, similar to last semester's finals week, has been very relaxed. I knew that if I make it thru these finals, its clear sailing on the way out.

I have started to pack stuff up, and it's kinda getting sad. I am not going to miss the institution, but I am going to miss the people, the fun times, and the life here. I love HC, but sometimes you gotta move into different places and see what you can make out of yourself.

A couple interesting facts of the night:
- Peter Griffin is a left handed guitarist.
- Finals week isn't bad if you just relax and spread out your work.
- I don't have to have a girlfriend to be happy (Thanks Ally)
- I LOVE COLLEGE!!!!
- Live like the song "Love Like Crazy" -- Lee Brice
and finally
- Keep on Keepin on

Famous Words

In the Famous words of Ice Cube:

"Today was a good day."

Honesty

I learned a lot about honesty today. I decided today that I was going to open up and tell people how I really truly feel about them. I made one person not so happy, but most other people, when I told them how I truly feel, were very happy to know what I had to say. I think its because I feel good about people, for the most part.

So yes. Being honest today has let me really release some frustrations and built up "anger" i have had.

Overall, Today was a good day.

As for today...

So I have to be truthful with the people who actually read my blog. I have really been battling demons in my everyday life recently. It has become overwhelming and very frustrating. I truly honestly debated blogging about this, but i am supposed to let my feelings go on this place, so I am.

So I really enjoyed Easter, but it was overshadowed by these wicked emotions. I really didn't know what to do. I think i need a restructure in my life. A chance to sit back and rethink everything. New friends. New ideas. New everything.

Any Comments?

For Today

I had no idea what to talk about. I was at my wits end, so I asked facebook and some choice friends for help. I had one friend, Amanda, say The World and why its so intersting, and I had another say life, so I figured out something in a moment like an epiphany. Why not talk about one of my most favorite blogs ever. Postsecret.com. I love this website. It has hit home to me more than enough times when I felt alone. So I am sharing it with you. This week (assuming you look at it before sunday) there were more than a few that hit home to me. I truly do love post secret.

In my own bed

So this is my first blog at my house, in my own bed, watching my tv. And I have realized that I love being home and I love college. So over the summer, I will be torn. And I must admit that I have a lot of thoughts going through my head that I don't really wanna blog about, cause it's too personal for ummm lets see here, everyone to know. so yeah. But anyways, I am watching the movie Salt, featuring Angelina Joelie. And it is awesome. So I am done blogging for the night.

About today

So, I don't have much to blog about today. And I don't know what to talk about. I guess I can just run through my day today.

So I woke up this morning, went to classes. Had a little frustration early, but the day was good. Played a lot of BlOps today. It was fun, till I made josh mad cause I was screen peaking. hahaha. Then I went to Common Ground with Ben, and met the kid that I am sure was me when I was a kid, crazy, but a beast in math :) He made my day.

So my thought for today.

Do you think it is possible that people are put in our lives to heal pain from the past. I have had this on my mind for a while, after chatting with my mom about it. It made me wonder, is it truly possible to be put in places and at things for specific reasons.

I mean I whole heartedly believe that everything happens for a reason. so yeah.

Just a thought

Advancing Education

So as all my readers know, I go to College. And I am a Math Education Major, interested in teaching high school math. And to do so, I have to go to college and get a degree in mathematics, with a concentration in post secondary certification.

Well this semester, I am taking a class entitled ENGL 104 (English Composition II). I have learned some amazing things in this class, such as, how to close read and interpret movies, and all other forms of literature. Well I have been doing this with recent movies, trying to critically think deeper into movies.

One movie in particular has caught my mind. I Am Legend. It's a movie staring Will Smith. If you wanna know more, google it. I noticed a striking parallel with this movie. This movie has a story line that can parallel Jesus's life. I solidly believe that Francis Lawrence (director of I Am Legend) was making the story of Jesus shown in his literature.

Just wanted to share my finding with my readers :)

Wow, that was crazy

So, as you can see from the blog post on the 15th, religion has been heavy on my mind. But, thanks to Danielle Rainey giving me useful websites, I have made a conclusion regarding my last blog, that I felt before, but I had my faith reaffirmed.

The only way to the Christian Afterlife (some call Heaven, some call Paradise) is through the belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and by committing yourself to Jesus-like works.

So, I have felt this way my entire life. But after religion classes and higher education, the Devil got heavy to working on me. And today, a strange and internally reflective day for me, I was reintroduced to this. On a lesson plan that Danielle and Johnathon (sorry if i spelled your name wrong John) are going to teach, they were battling exactly what has been heavy on my heart. On the lesson plan, there was a website that was cited multiple times. 4truth.net. This website gave me the insight needed. So thank you sooooo much Danielle. Love ya :)

Keep on Keepin on

So the phrase "Keep on Keepin' on" is a phrase I live by. To define keep on keepin on, is to explain how to be a strong and persevering person. This is something I feel is a challenge, and because of it, I found a phrase to battle it. I got it from Joe Dirt, when he was talking to the Indian Guy and he said, "Come on Brother. You can't give up. Life's a garden, dig it. You gotta keep on Keepin on Brother"

So, as strange as this might sound, I find inspiration from Joe Dirt. Because through everything he went through, he had the most positive attitude, and lived like we all want to live, but better. He is the king of positivity.

And I decided to talk about this today, cause these next 2 weeks are going to be hectic and I needed to remind myself to Keep on Keepin on, plus, I felt like I should lighten up my blog a bit.

So to all my readers,
Good night,
and
Keep on Keepin on

4/15/2011

So I can just title this blog as the date, because so much has happened today. So let's have a run over.

-Had a very interesting religion class every.
-Came home and brought my boy Ray with me.
-Got a shout-out from my bro during his ball game.
-Chillin at Grammy's.

now for details on my day:

1.Religion.
we talked about who deserves to go to Heaven. I mean is it really just of us ,as people, to say we deserve Heaven to say who does and doesn't get into Heaven. I mean I know that our religious book says we can only get into heaven through living like Jesus and having faith that he is the son of God and the stuff from the new testament, but have you ever thought that people of other religions believe that they got it right. So why can't we all- go to our different places of religious loyalty and co-exist under one almighty God who rules all. My God, a God of love and forgivingness, wouldn't want to banish anyone to Hell, so why would he? I mean i am a Christian and Do believe in God The Father and Jesus being the son of God, by why can't these other people be right too. And live in the Heaven their religion preached to them?

Just sayin.

2.Home.
I love going home. Its amazing here. I love it so much. I got my friend Ray to come up with me and we have been having a great time.

3.My Brother.
So my brother had his senior night tonight, and under people who inspire him, he says me. He says that I show him true happiness and how to be a happy guy (or something like that). i just wanted to let my blog readers know that I truly Love my brother so much and think he is an amazing guy and the best little brother a guy could ask for. i love you D Hays. #7 you are the best. :)

4.Grammy's.
So I love Grammy's. that's that.

Hit me up.

Another day in the books.

Its nearing sleep time, and I am preparing to put another day in the books (hence the title). Some things to note today:

1. Music is an emotionally powerful thing.
2. When it comes to friends and relationships, distance is a "make or break" -er
3. Confidence is truly one large key to success. (this was know before, but was reassured today)
4. Home is where you make it. (Joe Dirt Reference)
5. I really miss home and my old friends a lot.
6. I have made some really great friends and met some interesting people here at Huntingdon College.
7. Being single and hanging with friends can be so much better than the stresses of a relationship.
8. Mama Goldberg's and Bumheurs(sp) are 2 of the best restaurants in Montgomery.
9. I am truly excited to see what I become in the future.
and last
10. Long lost feelings about people are long and lost for a reason.

I guess I will call these the 10 realizations in Kevin's day.

Any feedback?
Leave a comment below, or comment on my facebook page's post about my blog.
I <3 Feedback. Just sayin :)

I'll Be Back ;)

so its 1:45 AM

Im siting here working on a paper at 1:45 (CST) working on a paper, and listening to music on Last.Fm, when I hear a song.

Go Rest High Upon That Mountain -- Vince Gill.

Every time I hear this song, I pause for a moment and remember those that we've lost. So, I ask you, Listen to this song and sit back and reflect on those you and other loved ones have lost and send up a prayer.

I guess I am getting kinda deep here on 2 straight posts.

Life Lesson #1

I learned a life lesson today.
No matter how much you talk in front of people and feel like you are good and prepared for a speech, you wont always be fully prepared, and you will get nervous.

Gave a speech today and felt like I did a good job, minus the fact that I didn't talk long enough and was Monotone. and only got a 65.

Kinda a bummer.

Whats your way of overcoming fear and not being nervous?

Here's me following through

So, to me, this shows me that I am actually going to follow through with this blog thing. Because if I wasn't it was one and done, but I am :)

So I learned a valuable life lesson today and last night. I can function well on no sleep. I would prefer not to, but I can. I was the King of Procrastination this weekend and didn't get anything done. so therefore, this week is going to be rough.

I must thank my bud Ray for kickin' it with me today.

Soooo, here's my thought for the day: Some times life can be crazy, and force you into the rough situations. (Here's where things get fun) But I believe there are two kinds of people in this world: The ones who can't handle the pressure and buckle; and the ones who persevere through the rough times and come out of it a better person.

Thoughts on this?

My First Post

So as for my first post, I feel like I should leave a disclaimer:

I might say things on my blog that you don't agree with. I might even say things that could offend you. I am sorry if I do, but we all have different opinions, and this is mine :)

Since we have that establish. My name is Kevin. I have a facebook. Look me up, Kevin Hays Jr. I have been looking for somewhere to share my ideas and views with the world and get feedback, and I believe that having a blog is the best way to do that.
